Recently my wife's sister got curious about what had happened to her first husband after they split. That marriage had ended badly and they hadn't been in contact for nearly thirty years. She tried searching for her ex-husband's name on Google and Yahoo but didn't get any hits. Knowing I do research online in my work as a professional writer, she asked if I could find out anything.
I write for business and technical publications, so I use a number of high-priced databases for in-depth research. But I suggested she try a simpler alternative - a solution I use myself when I want to find someone quickly and easily. I recommended she try one of the people search database services. Even the better ones cost so little, they're practically free. Most offer a trial period. I gave her the name of one to try.
She was dubious. She's not very comfortable using her computer for much more than email. Her stab at the search engines had already left her flustered. Now she was going to have to "sign up for something and learn something completely new... oh my goodness," was the way she put it.
Yet, later the same day I suggested it, she emailed back excitedly. In just minutes, she'd found out all kinds of information about her ex. It turned out that he'd done something of a turnaround after they'd broken up. Their divorce resulted from fights over his serious drinking problem. After they broke up, though, he'd eventually gone back to med school, gotten his MD and become an orthopedic surgeon. He'd even been instrumental in developing some sort of device used by other surgeons in his field.
Unfortunately, the poor fellow had passed, but at least my sister-in-law found comfort in knowing that things had worked out for him after all. She remarked that even though their relationship ended in the worst imaginable way, it had started from a good point. She said she hadnt really wanted to contact him. She just wanted to know what had happened to him.
Sometimes all we want is just to satisfy our curiosity about what happened to someone we've lost track of. Most of us have an old friend or acquaintance we still wonder about.
A Better Way to Find People
I suspect that's what makes people searching so hot. As many as half a million times a month, someone searches on Google alone, looking for a way to find a lost person. Whether it's someone from the past with whom we've lost touch, or someone we met last weekend and yearn to see again, were always searching for others.
Unfortunately, most general searches fail. Just like Googling failed for my sister-in-law. The information is out there, somewhere. But being forced to sift through so many unrelated results makes it nearly impossible.
That's why I recommended she use a people search service - sometimes they're called Internet Detective services. They pull all the information spread across thousands of servers and combine it into people-specific search databases. Then when you drop in a name or an address or a phone number, whatever bit of information you have, you get instant gratification. Up pops the latest scoop about your person.
Thats totally unlike the cold mechanical response a Google or Yahoo gives:
Results 1 - 10 of about 55,100,000 for joe smith. (0.06 seconds)
You can almost hear the search engine yawn.
By the way - most searchers don't know this - search engine results don't actually extend beyond about a thousand entries. Even when the search engine results page says they found millions and millions of hits, they don't actually bother to dig it up and give you access to all of it. They're really just estimating from their own database tables. Even they know it's a waste of time.
Yawn, yawn, yawn
On the other hand, it's exciting when you do a person search on a dedicated database. You find what you're looking for in seconds. Plus, you not only get current information, often you get historical data too. You find not only where the person is now but also where they lived or worked before that and before that and before that.
You can sort of see your old friend's life laid bare. (Now what in heaven's name was George doing in Poughkeepsie, New York, in winter. He always hated the cold)
Sometime you find a person's life didn't turn out the way you'd have thought. That's when the Criminal Check part of the service can help you find out what prison they ended up in!
When You Choose a Personal Search Service, Here's What to Look For
If you decide to try out a personal search database, here are the things I've found important to consider during a review
1. Free versus Paid
I've been disappointed by the free services. Their main concern seems to be to try and get you to click on some of the pay-per-click ads they're displaying - so they can make a little money.
2. Speed
You want a service that responds quickly. Make sure you try it out. A fun test is to do a search on yourself. You get to check speed and accuracy! 3. Proprietary Database
If a service compiles their own database, they must be fairly successful. It's costly to build and maintain. Such well-funded providers are much more likely to stay around. From a usability standpoint, it's better too. You get a single interface that you can quickly learn.
And I've never seen a free service that has its own database. Most of the free services I've checked out are really just link farms - they just point you at some public or government database.
4. Training and Support
Be sure you can easily learn to use any service you choose. Actually, you'll find the better services are intuitive - how to search will make sense as soon as you look at it. But better services will also provide extra, in-depth searching. If you ever need the extra, it might require you dig into it a bit before you can fully use it. Just make sure your service has easy, accessible ways to learn, like tutorials.
And don't ignore support. Sooner or later you'll have questions or there will be something you need help to get resolved. It's best if they offer free, live support.

Hi Everyone,

Since my last blog the times have changed huh? The gas prices have went up and down lets's hope they stay down! Lets see what else? The economy has gone crazy and we have a new President about to be sworn in.

How about we talk about the Internet ,home based business and marketing. There are millions of people feeling the effect of what is going on with our economy. There are thousands of people that will not be bothered one bit. Why? They decided to do what we are all trying to do. Build residual income, grow a business, spend more time with our family, shop til you drop and not go in debt doing so I can go on and on but I think you get the jist of it.

Well guys and gals I'm on a mission to get where I need to be so that my family and I are just fine. I'm learning a ton and applying what I learn. The most important thing I have learned is that the key to getting what you want and need is helping a whole bunch of like minded people get what they want. Sorry there are no short cuts :-}

So I write on this blog to invite those that want to join me on this journey, I admit I'm not a "guru" not yet. I will share with you via this blog what I'm up to, new tools, what is working for me and what is not working. Hi everyone!
And yes I'm Back!! I also have very sad news :-(

My MOM has passed away, I know most people would not put this in their blog. But as I wrote in my heading I will always say what is on my mind and in this case in my heart. August 14Th 2008 is a day I will never forget, It was my moms last living day on earth.

This is the toughest blog for me to write, right now I'm just sitting here staring at the cursor blinking. I love my Mom, she was going through a lot of medical stuff, people always say to me "She is not suffering now" I think I have said that to someone and I will never say it again! The statement does not make those that are grieving feel any better. Again I love you Mom!

So guys & gals it is fair to say I have been out of touch with you for sometime. I even quit the affiliate plan I was with! Yes I did...

Who Is Still Buying Leads?

Wow!
How is everyone doing today? Me? I'm fine, considering the circumstances. My mom is still very sick, she actually got better for about 1 day and then ended up back in the ICU. My dear Mom I Love You. Sorry everyone but I told you at the intro I just write about what is on my mind at the time. You came here to get to know me, this is me.

Of course those thoughts did not inspire me to write tonight's blog, hence the title"Who Is Still Buying Leads?" Now, I have to ask this question, I still see advertisement's, websites and e mails selling leads! So therefore that leads me to think (no pun intended) people are still BUYING Leads!

Wait let me rephrase that Phone Verified Leads, what is that? Does that mean it is OK to call them? Yeah right! I have been on the other end of that phone and some of those folks are just downright Nasty! And they should be. Here we go calling with our pre-written scripts sounding like we are reading word for word(we are) or if you call enough leads you start to memorize the pre-written script. Now here is the best part when the lead ask a question that is not on the script(oh no) dah,mumble,jumble oh forget it!

Who is still buying leads?

Alright how about this? you have never seen anybody as happy as I was to get a answering machine when calling a lead. Why because there was a script for that to and without the chance of rejection. Happy Independence Day!

Hi everyone,

It has been a while since I have posted so here we go.

Well , my wife and I are home the kids went to the beach with their aunts and uncle. I was not in the mood, I can't swim and the sun has not come out yet anyway. I hope they are still enjoying themselves.

Just to give you an update with my mom, she has improved , no longer in the intensive care unit. On the outside she seems better but we know on the inside she is still very sick. The main thing is that she is still with us(Mrs Barbara A. Beatty) last week this time ,it was not looking good for her or us. Thank You to everyone who said prayers for my family.

No cold calling is the name of this blog so let's talk a little bit about that. I love power prospecting system. You know how they say hate is a strong word? well Love is an even stronger word. this system does exactly what it says it will do "IF" You follow what they teach to the "T" I'm so happy with the results, tools and training. Have you ever cold called leads before? I have and and it sucks!

Just this past week I have talked to so many people on the phone that are just like you and me! So refreshing to have a conversation with somebody who speaks our language for example mlm, network marketing, residual income and so on. No pressure just two people with something in common getting to know each other. well I think everyone now knows how excited I am about PPS.

Meanwhile just lately I decided to switch my Primary business I promote with the pps system. I still promote my now secondary business but I think I made a mistake, here is why 3 months ago my upline and friend in My World Plus and several other business in the past told me about ASD.

I usually jump right on it and get involved without question, not sure why I dragged my butt this time . Lets just say it cost me a bunch of money not to get involved. My friend joined in April she opened her account with $500 and now 3 months later she has 12k in her account!

All she did was surf a few websites a day, sponsored about 7 or 8 paying members(not me) and voila 12k 3 months later. I fell out the chair last week when she told me, on my way down I kicked myself in the rear.

WE ARE # 1

Even though I did not play a single quarter in the 2008 NBA Finals, I still think I have the right to pronouce WE ARE #1 !

The 2008 Boston Celtics have done it, and no they did not barely win, they killed the Los Angelas Lakers, shut down the best player in the league Mr Kobe Bryant(MVP) Also they set a new NBA franchise record

Sweet 17 NBA titles! Do I seem a bit excited? Heck yes!

I must add I'm tired and glad it is over those games were on at 9pm est. and finishing about midnight! And you hade to watch every second.

Ok deep breath, i'm alright :-}

So what else is going on... My mom is still in the hosp, not doing to well on my way up to the hospital in a few minutes.

Let's see what else.. Power prospecting system is still treating me real well. In only 3 shorts months I have a great very well targeted list of people to communicate with , over 300 or so. With just a push of a button, Again PPS is a funded proposal system so not only am i building a list it creates a advertising budget to market my Primary business. What a great combination, what are 2 things you need to promote your biz? Money & Leads. Just to give you and Idea already i have made 6 sales this month and signed up 3 people in my Primary biz.

Happy Fathers day to all fathers,dads, grandads,papas, papi's and single moms that have to play the role of mom and dad I really take my hat off to you. My mom is a single parent and until I became a parent myself I did not realize how hard of a job parenting is, that is one thing my wife and I both agree on after being together for 24 years!

Hey wait a minute it's fathers day and some how I'm still talking about moms :-} but that's how it goes, I'm not sure why they even gave us a day(fathers). Compared to mothers day our day is just a afterthought. But you know what we accept and we love you all the same. What fathers do is usally behind the scenes, small but important stuff and in my house I'm the bad guy, I accept my role.

This Blog will be short I have to visit my Mom is in the hospital today , Just wanted to pay tribute to dad's everywhere and give you a littele update on power prospecting system. As I said a couple of post ago " It really works"

Hello everyone!

I hope you had a great weekend!

mine was just fine, summer heat is feeling good. I'm ready for it, in Boston we get about 2 maybe 2 and half months of HEAT! So when we get it most of us enjoy it. my youngest daughter had a softball game this afternoon, the sun was high in the sky. It was a close game until the end I think my girls let the heat get to them, we lost 13-8.

So now I'm at my computer with the celtics and lakers game playing behind me Celtics are up 20pts in the 4th quarter! loving that!

But even better than that while still working on the computer I noticed using the tecniques I learned from Power Prospecting System so far I have had 512 visitors ,so far 23 prospects and so far 1 sale. I can't say enough about what I have learned and what it has done for my marketing efforts.

Hey everyone I want you to know that these are real numbers not something I just made up. The numbers may not sound like a lot but if you only knew what my stats looked like before PPS I feel like a superstar!

By the way 80-96 Celtics up with 5 min left in the 4th quarter.

Back to what I was talking about, so far every month I remain a member my income has improved hope that continues..I think so.

I think I'm done testing this system I will suggest my downline members in my primary business use it as well.

Hi everyone

It's Memorial Day here in the states, a very important holiday to say thank you to those that are fighting and have fought to protect our freedom.

Here is a short prayer for our troops:

Lord, hold our troops in your loving hands. Protect them as they protect us Bless them and their families for the selfless acts they perform for us in our time of need. Amen.

Having said that , I know the subject of this post does not really match up with what I said above . So if you are still wondering what it means? In previous blogs I have talked about a prospecting system to help you build your network marketing organization, at the same time generate a advertisng budget you could work with. And to top it off "no cold calling"

Now I have to be quite honest in this blog and tell you exactly how I feel, when I first got involved with power prospecting system I said to myself ok this might work, but once I started reading the material and implementing the stuff they teach I had other thoughts cross my mind. I said alright the tecniques work(I made a couple of sales) but will it really help me grow my primary business? And that is the tiltle of this blog! It really works!

First of all now I have people calling me! This is great! and get this just last week I hade somebody upgrade in my primary business via power prospecting systems So again it really works and I'm so excited!

Yes I had doubts but I was still making money with so now I am a believer.

O I think that is all for today I have start getting ready for work on Tuesday morning. hope some day I will be able to post a blog here saying i'm financially free!

Happy mothers day

Hi Everyone, Today is a very special day for me for a couple of reasons.

Of course it is Mothers DAY! Happy Mommy day to all moms! In my opinion today is a very special moms day for my mom.. It's my Birthday Also!

One thing I noticed today that made me sad and happy all at once is when I was driving around today I saw a Lot of people visiting grave yards spending time with their love ones that are no longer with us.

I was sad for those that were there and happy That my Mom is still with us. She has been ill for about year now and currently in a rehab, but she is still here. I picked her up from the rehab and we had some food over my little sisters house. My sister is a pretty good cook, she takes after my mom.

I know the name of my blog is no cold calling but also keep in mind a blog is space to talk about whatever is on your mind. so that is what I'm doing today.

On another note Today and yesterday have been really good prospecting days for my power prospecting system. using the tecniques and the sytem that is in place , I really feel good about this program. I ran 2 ads and got several leads maybe about 40 and made 1 sale. This is great! Hump Day

Yes it is Wenesday, I just got off work...Thank Jesus, I made it!

Well for starters today is my daughters 16th birthday, Happy birthday sue sue wherever you are I love You and wish I could tell you in person. Maybe someday I will be able to.

Now down to business I love network marketing, I love the power behind it. My main business that I promote is called My World plus

This is one of the good programs, they do what they say no hidden agendas and they pay what they promise. But with any good company you have to advertise-Internet marketing. This is what they all pay you to do.
